Food Banks, Disaster Response and Recovery: What Did We Learn from the 2016 Horse River Fire?
Over the past 8 months the Wood Buffalo Food Bank Association (WBFBA) has been working on an evaluative project with the assistance of Judith C. Kulig and HaiYan (LingLing) Fan to improve future response and business continuity in the event of disaster. Following the 2016 wildfire, the WBFBA saw a great importance in reflecting on the actions that were taken after the incident and observe methods of improvement as we head into the future.
